Equestrian
Helite has been making CE certified airbag protection for horse riders since the early years of the company. The same technology that protects motorcycle riders on the road protects equestrian riders in the saddle: an airbag that deploys on impact to cover the back, neck, abdomen and thorax before a fall reaches the ground.
The vest is worn over normal riding attire. It deploys in approximately 100 milliseconds using a mechanical lanyard system. It is reliable, reusable, and needs no battery or electronics.
How it works for horse riders
The equestrian vest connects to the saddle via a short lanyard. If a rider is unseated, the separation from the horse triggers the lanyard, which deploys the airbag in under 100 milliseconds. After a fall, the rider replaces the CO2 cartridge and the vest is ready to use again.
The vest covers the cervical spine, back, abdomen and thorax, the areas most at risk in an equestrian fall. CE certified airbag technology, trusted by riders in 30+ countries.
